Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, founded in 1958 and as one of the earliest colleges of traditional Chinese medicine, is an institution of higher education for training advanced personnel of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and is also one of the bases designated by the Ministry of Education for overseas education of traditional Chinese medicine . In 1992, the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in the University. Owing to its strong teaching faculty, good environment and rich experience in traditional Chinese medicine education, the university enjoys high reputation in and outside China. At present, there are about 400 foreign students from over 20 countries and districts on the enrollment.
