    Well Developed E-Study System

It provides a unique route for students to communicate with instructors and access class information. Website: http://www.uacupuncture.com.

    Excellent Clinic Training Facilities
Student interns practice on-site at the BodyMind Synergy Health Centre, the largest acupuncture clinic within Calgary, where they will be studying under TCM specialists and experienced supervisors. In the final term of the fourth year interns also have the option to pursue a study trip to China. They will be studying under professors, and experts in TCM teaching hospitals in China.

    Diplomas and Acupuncture Licensing Preparation
When students graduate from our four-year Acupuncture Diploma program, they will receive the following diploma or certificates: Acupuncture Diploma, and Chinese Tui Na Massage certificate. Graduates of our Dr. of TCM Program will receive the same certificates as the Acupuncture Program but will also receive a Dr. of TCM certificate.

Graduates from the 5 year Bachelor Program will receive the same diplomas and certificates as the four year Dr. of TCM program from CITCM, and at the same time they will receive graduation certificate as well as a Bachelor’s Degree certificate from Shan Dong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chinese State Education Ministry.

After completion of the fourth year, students will be eligible to take the examination to become a registered acupuncturist in Alberta. We provide indepth review and mock exams to prepare students to take the provincial exam. Those who pass the examination will receive their acupuncturist license. We are very proud that 100% of CITCM 2009 Graduates have achieved a pass rate for written portion of the Provincial Acupuncture Registration exam.

    Small Class Size
Small class sizes allow for more focus of hands on training as well as one on one interaction with teachers. Throughout the program, the goal is to empower students to establish a life long learning style and optimum professional competency. Extensive Chinese herbal training gives students confidence and the ability to prescribe the most effective individualized herbal prescriptions for each patient.

    Career Assistance
Business Management, communication and counselling are part of our curriculum to help
prepare students in their future practice. Web marketing, search engine optimization is also provided to promote interns’ and graduates’ success. Business planning consultation and tutoring are always available for our new graduates.
