Dr. of TCM Program is a four year program with 4188 hours of training. This includes Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Chinese Tui Na Massage. The Doctor of TCM Program contains the same training as the Acupuncture Diploma Program with additional classes of Chinese Herbal Medicine and more clinic practice. The Chinese Herbal Medicine training includes the study of over 350 herbs and 200 classic time tested and effective formulas. Clinical courses cover acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and involve the treatment of internal, pediatric, gynecological, dermatological, muscular-skeleton illnesses, disorders of eye, ear, nose, throat and sports injury. Clinical observation and internship allow students to master the knowledge they need to successfully practice.

An optional Three-month internship in the university hospital (Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) in China is recommended.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is currently not regulated in Alberta. Graduates from this program will be encouraged to take the TCMP and TCMD exam in British Columbia to be qualified as a TCMP or TCMD.
